On April 6th, 2019, Klemens Sander will perform Schubert’s cycle Die schöne Müllerin at the Oxford Lieder Festival. On the piano: Sholto Kynoch.
Klemens Sander last appeared at the Festival in the 2016 Schumann Project, when he gave a stunning rendition of Schumann’s Dichterliebe as part of the performance of Heinrich Heine’s complete Lyrisches Intermezzo, with the actor Cornelius Obonya. Since then he has recorded Die schöne Müllerin, a recording that was nominated for an International Classical Music Award in 2017.
